The new Baptist Medical Center South serves the south end of Jacksonville, Florida which, until its construction, had lacked a full service healthcare facility. With up to 125 beds, the hospital offers a 24-hour emergency room, helipad, provides outpatient surgery and diagnostics, as well as, a variety of inpatient services.
Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. provided a Technology Infrastructure Plan for the project which included the design of the structured cabling system, telephone system, data network, audio-visual system, video surveillance systems, public address, and video distribution systems.
One of the cutting edge technologies provided in our design gives patients the ability to access the internet, including the world wide web, and email directly from their bed via a wireless keyboard and mouse though an interactive television system.
