Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. (SCG) will be racing at the 3rd Annual Pensacola Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 10th at Bay View Park. As first time participants, we have collaborated with employees of DAG Architects, Bullock-Tice Associates, Prime AE Group, Navy Federal Credit Union, and the Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) to present to you the SCG Psychometrics Dragon Boat Team! There will be a DJ and live music entertainment, an all-day vendor fair with food and drinks, a Kid's Learn and Play Zone featuring a rock climbing wall, and various entertainment throughout the day. Come out and support the SCG Psychometrics and the 30+ teams racing to victory for a great cause!
Pensacola Dragon Boat Festival is a festival brought to you by your local North East SERTOMA. SERTOMA is an organization of business and professional people knit together in bonds of personal friendship and united in the idea of service in their community. SERTOMA is a 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 not-for-profit international organization. Every year Sertoma clubs raise more than $20 million for local community service projects. Through these projects, as well as grants and scholarships, Sertoma clubs return those funds to their respective communities – and they have loads of fun doing it while building life-long friendship.
Gulf Coast Kid’s House is a children’s advocacy center serving Pensacola and Escambia County. As a children’s advocacy center, we combine all of the professionals and resources needed for the intervention, investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases under one child-friendly facility. Child victims and their families also receive mental health counseling at our center. The goal of Gulf Coast Kid’s House is to form a more collaborative response to child abuse cases so that we can improve case outcomes and minimize trauma to the children and families we serve. The proceeds from our events go directly to building and maintaining the programs and services these organizations provide to the community.
