Northwest Florida State College is a multi-campus institution located in the coastal heart of Northwest Florida, serving both Okaloosa and Walton counties and over 14,000 students annually. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. began its relationship with the College in 1990 and has provided design services for numerous projects.

The Student Services project for Northwest Florida State College included a new 75,000 square foot Student Services Building and a 33,000 square foot renovation of the existing “K” building.  Building “K” served as the center for student activities and included a kitchen and dining hall.  This existing building is connected to the new facility by a landscaped garden courtyard featuring fountains and seated areas.  The new facility features a Dining Hall, Banquet Rooms, Enrollment/Registration Center, and the Leadership Institute, while the existing facility serves as a bookstore, café, and game room.
