SCG has provided design and consulting services to Department of Defense clients since its inception. In the last five years, we have completed over 250 projects throughout the world for the US Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, Air Force Reserve Command, US Air Force, Marine Forces Reserve, and the US Army.  We offer specialized experience unique to the needs of our DoD clients. 

 

ANTI-TERRORISM/FORCE PROTECTION DESIGN

The SCG Team is on the cutting edge of AT/FP design.  Stuart Smith, Structural Principal, has provided expertise to DoD clients regarding the implications and practicalities of AT/FP requirements and is an expert at analyzing and incorporating code and regulation changes into designs. Our expertise includes set-back standards, blast effects, progressive collapse, special glazing requirements, entry standards and explosion hardened structures. 

 

COMMISSIONING SERVICES

With three Certified Commissioning Agents (CxA) on staff, we provide specialized commissioning services at military installations.  We have provided commissioning services at numerous military bases throughout the Southeastern US. 

 

COMMUNICATIONS DESIGN

With a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) on staff, we offer communication systems design specific to military installations.  We are experienced with all types of secure and non-secure communications infrastructure including SIPRNet, NIPRNet, access control systems with readers, intrusion detection systems, alarms and audio-visual systems.
