Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, and Communications design services for this new, 118,000 square foot high school located in Spanish Fort, Alabama. This school is served by a closed-loop geothermal heating and cooling system. The system consists of high-efficiency water-source heat pumps connected to a geothermal heat exchanger made up of 384 wells approximately 275 feet deep. The geothermal system provides an energy efficient and quiet learning enviroment for the new school.
