Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, and Communications design services for the renovation of the cafeteria, media center, and classroom buildings and the addition of a 15,000 square foot Administration Building at Southport Elementary School, located in Southport, Florida. The construction cost for this project was $3,200,000.00.

Mechanical systems designed were split system heat pump units with dedicated outdoor air units to maintain good indoor air quality and a low initial cost. Lighting and electrical systems were upgraded in the renovated buildings. Our firm worked closely with the owner to determine their technology needs and ensure they were met by the communications system designed.
