| Northwest Florida State College is one of Florida’s 28 public community colleges and is accredited to award Associate and Bachelor degrees, short term technical and vocational certificates and applied technology diplomas. The College serves approximately 15,000 students annually. In addition to the 264-acre Niceville Main Campus, Northwest Florida State College operates a joint campus with the University of West Florida in Fort Walton Beach. Northwest Florida State College also operates the Chautauqua Center in DeFuniak Springs, the Robert L.F. Sikes Education Center in Crestview, and centers at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. began its relationship with the College in 1990 and have provided design services for new construction projects, as well as for renovations and additions.
