Martin County is located at the southern end of Florida, positioned between St. Lucie County to the north and Palm Beach County to the south. Martin County has a population of over 126,731.

The Martin County School District consists of 47 schools including 12 elementary schools, five middle schools, and three high schools. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. has had the privilege to provide design services for two new schools in the District: Jensen Beach High School, and most recently, Citrus Grove Elementary School.

Citrus Grove Elementary, located in Palm City, is a two-story school which spans 124,630 square feet and contains 55 classrooms. The school is equipped with a full kitchen and dining facilities; band/choir rooms; and a theater/auditorium. Citrus Grove is a turn key school; meaning that teachers will enter a classroom that already has technology in place and ready to use. This includes such systems as projectors, DVD/VCR combinations, document cameras, and audio enhancement.
