| Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. designed the Voice and Data Structured Cabling and Television System for the $8 million, 55,000 square foot, Apex, Aurora, and Grand Aurora Award-Winning Learning Resource Center located at Northwest Florida State College's main campus in Niceville, Florida. The Center is equipped with a library, a conference center, an ITV production studio, a distance learning classroom, meeting rooms, a technical processing area, and administrative offices. |

The
communications system designed for the project connects college learning
resource centers statewide. It consists of 1,482 category 5e cables, 77
two-strand fiber optics, and RG-6 coaxial cables, (41 TV connections).
The system allows an individual to use either a school provided pc or
their laptop via wireless technology. |
